Krakow’s libraries once again became a space for creative competition. The organisers of the Reader of the Year contest are the City of Krakow, four municipal public libraries (Krowoderska, Nowohucka, Podgórska and Śródmiejska) and the Krakow Festival Office as the operator of the UNESCO City of Literature programme. The winners are chosen in three age categories and on the basis of the number of books borrowed from the libraries. The gala ceremony was held on Saturday, 16 May, at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre.
