In 2015, several dozen benches in Krakow found their new literary patrons. Among them were: Helena Modrzejewska (Modjeska), Andrzej Bursa, Tadeusz Kantor, Izabela Sowa, Father Józef Tischner and Paweł Włodkowic. Additionally, as part of a special edition for the 25th Jewish Culture Festival, 20 places and characters related to the literary heritage of Kazimierz were also commemorated in the project. This is the third edition of City Codes. Since its inception, more than 160 literary benches have popped up around Planty Park, with the most prominent authors connected with Krakow as patrons. All literary benches bear special plaques with QR codes that lead to multimedia content about the writer and selected works.
